Disclosure of Students' Immunization Records

If the school's state or other law requires the school to have proof of students' immunizations prior to admission of students to the school, and a parent, guardian, or other person acting in loco parentis is in agreement with the disclosure, a HIPAA covered health care provider is permitted to disclose such proof of students' immunizations directly to a school nurse, or the school's designated person (s) to receive immunization records. 45 CFR 164.512(b)(1)(vi).
